The Costarican Audiology Association

The Costa Rican Association of Audiology is the first professional association of professional, non-medical audiologists in Costa Rica. It was created for the promotion and defense of professional practice in the audiological field in the country.
The Costa Rican Association of Audiology has maintained a profile of commercial neutrality, aiming to be a group of non-profit professionals, who are interested in promoting hearing health and prevention of hearing problems.
Our association (of all professional audiologists working against deafness and its effects), is an open house, so that all professionals in audiology join this family interested in the well-being of Costa Ricans.
As president of the Costa Rican Association of Audiology, I invite all audiologists from the country to join our group and participate in their activities focused on the prevention of hearing problems and the promotion of hearing health for all, as well as the dissemination of the Professional activity of audiologists.

Cochlear Implant 2017

We are already back from the four and a half year vacation in cochlear implant purchases. After the idyllic dream, the same specters awaken with the same hunger and thirst.

El implante coclear 2017

Ya estamos de regreso de las vacaciones de cuatro años y medio en compras de implantes cocleares. Después del sueño idílico, se despiertan los mismos espectros con la misma hambre y sed.
En el mundo hay cuatro o cinco marcas de implantes cocleares, imaginen nuestros lectores, que hipotéticamente hay tres representadas por el mismo grupo de interés, con diferentes razones sociales, pero que sus hilos son conducidos por una misma persona, a la que, turnando la marca, le cae el metálico en el bolsillo. Con la cooperación de alguien que desde dentro escogiera a conveniencia el ganador de turno.
Ese escenario sería Dantesco, Maquiavélico. Imaginen los lectores que ese lugar imaginario es una isla no muy lejana donde se antojan poner requisitos de imanes de muestra que luego no son importantes, el titanio por arriba o por abajo, como si se tratara de galletas para una fiesta infantil, y al final, dejáramos que el niño grande y abusón, se quede con todo el contenido de la piñata.
En esa isla, que es 100% precio, al final despilfarra el dinero de otros, volando la soberanía por los aires, pidiendo el permiso del ministerio de salud del país que les conviene.
Esa isla no está muy lejos y los recursos que se dilapidan son los de los pobres inocentes que contribuyen al sistema solidario, pero corrupto...
